2022 Contractor’s Breakfast

The Kootenai County Utilities Council (KCUC) partnered with the Inland Empire Utility Coordinating Council (IEUCC) to host the 2022 Contractor’s Breakfast Wednesday, January, 19, 2022.   The meeting was held at CenterPlace Regional Event Center in Spokane Valley, WA.  The well attended event featured updates from the Idaho Damage Prevention Board, Washington811 and One Call Concepts with tons of great food, great conversations and door prizes. Thank you to everyone who took time out of their morning to attend the event and brush up on the one call system.

Transition 12/1/2021

The transition to the new one call center services will take place at 12:01am this Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

Starting this Wednesday, December 1, 2021 you can process locate requests online directly from this Kootenai County One Call website. To process locate requests by phone dial 1-800-428-4950 or 811. As a reminder the 811 call routing system is based on the physical location you are calling from and/or the cell tower that routes your call. Dialing 811 from outside or near the Kootenai county line could result in your call being routed to a different call center. To reach the Kootenai county one call center directly call 800-428-4950. As a reminder the One Call Concepts Utility Notification Center only processes locate requests for Kootenai County in Idaho. If you are calling for work taking place in Benewah, Bonner, Boundary or Shoshone counties dial 866-242-5844. For work taking place in all other areas of Idaho call 
1-800-342-1585.

Tickets processed prior to December 1, 2021 will continue to be valid tickets for excavation until their original expiration date. However, job sites with tickets created prior to December 1, 2021, which need to be updated or refreshed will need to be processed as new tickets. Customer Service Representatives will not be able to access tickets filed prior to December 1st in the new One Call Center software.

The transition to the new one call center services December 1, 2021.

Member utilities are in the final stages of verifying ticket delivery and notification coverage areas. If you are a member utility and have questions about using our online tools or about ticket receiving options contact the database department at iddatabase@occinc.com.

Excavators can check out the online ticket processing tool ITIC prior to the transition. Contact us to set up virtual training to learn how to process your locate requests online.  Don’t wait until the transition send an email today to nwitic@occinc.com to let us know what date and time works best for you.

OCC has started contacting member utilities to verify notification areas/mapping databases.  OCC is also conducting a second round of testing with Kootenai County member utilities to check receiving site information and test for ticket receiving.

Excavators and member utilities were notified of the upcoming training November 3rd and 4th in Coeur D’Alene.   If you are unable to attend the training but would like to learn more about processing locate requests online and other online tools send an email to nwitic@occinc.com.

Communications will be sent out using the current database of excavators and members. If you are not currently on this list but would like to sign up for these mailings, send an email to KCUC811@occinc.com.

10/07/2021 Beginning December 1, 2021, One Call Concepts, Inc. will take over processing locate requests in Kootenai County, Idaho.

OCC has begun contacting Kootenai County member utilities to check receiving site information and test for ticket receiving. We will be reaching out soon to verify notification areas. Excavators will be receiving information for ITIC (OCC’s online ticket processing system) soon.
